Now HIRING:

Real Estate Finance & Development

Lyme Properties is hiring for a Math Person. Title is TBD, depending upon experience and skill-set. Put simply: you’re a quantitatively-minded Real Estate person who wields Excel like a paintbrush to help translate ideas and opportunities into feasible and financeable projects.

This role will fill our weak-side, strengthen our overall team, and is an upside opportunity for the right person. You’ll work closely with principals on advancing the business model of new developments, from underwriting potential deals through to execution. This is a multiple-hats position.

Lyme is a family owned Real Estate Development company based in West Lebanon, NH that focuses on the master planning, permitting, and execution of transformative real estate projects, grounded in a philosophy of community-conscious development. We pursue projects that create triple bottom line value, in the belief that the best projects help rise the tide for all.

Now at the start of an exciting new chapter, Lyme is growing quickly to execute our River Park West Lebanon project and other development opportunities in the Upper Valley. From campuses of innovation that facilitate the future UV economy, to creative approaches to tackle the critical housing crisis, Lyme projects push boundaries, rethink approaches, and create long-term value.

Often that means we don’t fit into standard boxes, processes, and market norms. Which is where this role fits into the fold: you help navigate through the fog to find feasibility.

You are:

  • A creative problem solver.

  • Somewhere between Real Estate Analyst and CFO/COO in your career path.

  • An experienced and capable real estate professional who is looking for something new, different, a little weird at times, and interesting.

  • Able to do pro forma modeling and financial analysis quickly and collaboratively.

  • Comfortable managing the relationships of the entire financial stack, from equity partners to bankers.

  • Motivated by projects that create big, positive change in their communities.

  • Capable of translating higher math into approachable and understandable concepts for broad audiences.

  • Excited by the challenge to "make the math work,” especially when at first it looks like it doesn’t.

  • Experienced in construction management, and/or managing 3rd party consultants.

  • Ready to work in a small, nimble company that maintains a start-up attitude.

  • Not above wearing the many hats

  • A strong personality that plays well with others.

  • Able to bust skulls with a smile on when necessary.

  • Not an a-hole.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the Math: Manage the financial modeling & performance of projects from prospective-to-stabilized.

  • Exact job description to be determined by career stage and strengths of candidate.
